Rally Health is a cutting-edge, digital health company within the sprawling UnitedHealth Group Inc., so differentiating itself from the parent company was an important aspect of its new downtown Minneapolis office, writes the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. But the real goal of the office design is to bring people together.
"Within our culture, we really value bringing diverse perspectives together," says Karl Ulfers, Rally's chief product officer.
With exposed wood, sleek Scandinavian design and cozy fabrics like wool, there's definitely a Northern vibe. There's also a strong cycling theme.
"Wheels decorate the walls of the All-hands Area, a meeting space and cafeteria with tiered seating along the wall and large, communal tables," writes Carrigan Miller. "There are also cheeky features like bike seats and handlebars arranged to look like taxidermy animals mounted on the walls. The office is also close to a popular commuter biking trail in the Downtown East neighborhood."
